6 Tips for Better Hot Tubbing in the Rain

November 19, 2014

Another rainy Seattle winter? Bring it on.

What’s a little cold water falling when you’re surrounded by the warmth of your Hot Spring SpaWarm water in the hot tub beats cold water from the sky. Enjoy being in nature from the comfort of your own hot tub. It’s well worth the dash across your back yard. Many of our Olympic Hot Tub customers tell us that hot tubbing in the rain is their favorite time to enjoy the waters. As always, check with your physician if you have concerns about soaking in cold weather.

For an evening of bliss with rain drops, here are 6 tips to make your hot tubbing even better:

  • Heads up. You don’t want the raindrops hitting you in the face. A hat keeps the water out and the body heat in. Check out the hats for the hot tub post and consider the popular umbrella hat.
  • Drink warm. Hot chocolate is perfect drink for wintertime tubbing. Sip it from something unbreakable, and don’t spike it until you’re out of the water.
  • Slip in. Wear your slippers – don’t go barefoot across the slick, wet yard or track leaves and dirt into your tub.
  • Heat up. Run your terrycloth robe through the dryer so it’s toasty for the trip out, and your towels so they’re extra warm when you’re ready to dry off.
  • Face it. Use an extreme moisturizer, the kind made for skiing and mountain climbing, or Vaseline to protect your skin that’s not in the warm water.
  • Breathe in. Add colorful and fragrant Spazazz Therapy Crystals to set the mood, spark emotion, and relax your mind and body. Aromatherapy can assist romance, muscle therapy, and peace of mind.

Go out in the rain, left the cover, watch the steam curl up, and snuggle into the warmth. The weather outside is frightful, but the tub is so delightful. Let it rain. Let it snow. Let it sleet. Your water is always fine.

As the Romans said it, RES EST SERVA VOLUPTASPleasure is serious business.
