If you’re after an unusual hotel experience with hot tub included, try No Man’s Fort
June 22, 2018 – Maybe this came across my radar because I’ve been craving a trip back to the United Kingdom. Whatever the reason, this unusual opportunity for a one-of-a-kind hotel experience with hot tubs available certainly caught my eye!
No Man’s Fort is a new luxury hotel with a rich history dating back to the 1860’s. These military structures were commissioned by British Prime Minister Lord Henry Palmerston in response to what he felt was a growing threat of invasion from France. By the time the 15 years passed it took to construct these amazing forts in the sea, the fear of a French invasion had long since disappeared.
Now, 150 years later a visit to No Man’s Fort would make anyone who longs for a unique retreat envious. Converted into a grand luxury hotel, it can only be arrived at after a 40+- minute boat ride. Once you arrive, you can check into one of the 23 luxury suites (including one in the lighthouse!)—all with stunning views of the sea.
Naturally, you can enjoy a spa experience, complete with a soak from the rooftop hot tubs that are available.
If you like the idea of an exclusive secluded alternative to the traditional hotel stay, this is it! Save up your British Pounds, though: Stays begin at about 450 pounds a night. (That’s nearly $600 for us in the U.S.!) But, wouldn’t afternoon tea at No Man’s Fort followed by a spa treatment and a rooftop hot tub soak just be terrific?
