Hot Tub Soaking in the Rain

It was raining hard as we soaked in our Hot Spring Spa last night. The Duke/Butler game had just ended and we needed a way to wind down.  (What a game!)

I had a towel on my head and Blair had a baseball cap. His favorite? “Cascade Land Conservancy”. The water felt delicious. There’s no other word for it. Delicious! The perfect temperature, the perfect silkiness (thanks to SilkBalance) and the perfect jets massaging tired shoulders. What a treat!

It rains in Seattle…that’s why hot tub soaking here is so great. Don’t let a little rain stop you from hot tubbing. Soaking in the rain is hot tub bliss.

  1. I too am in the Pacific Northwest. I’ve tried hot tubbing in the rain and HATE it. I wish I could find some kind of retractable awning to use during rain that I could open when the weather is nice, as I like to be able to see the sky and stars above. If it’s not raining. Which is a lot of the time.

  2. Hello Lisa:
So sorry you hate hot tubbing in the rain..I know it’s a personal preference thing!!
The easiest solution to not getting wet when it rains & you’re trying to hot tub..a good old fashioned umbrella!
A golf umbrella would be great if you want to soak with a partner or friend. That’s what my husband and I use on heavy rain nights. The “sunbrellas” on the market don’t stand up to a hard rain, alas. If one comes on the market that does, I’ll keep you posted.
    Thanks for writing.
    Happy soaking-rain or clear.
