If you travel, be sure to soak or sauna when you get home!
February 20, 2018- I don’t know about you, but traveling can certainly knock you down a peg, especially if you’re headed home after a nice break to get away from it all.
This is certainly an easy thing to put off. You’ve got to unpack, re-connect with pets, catch up with loved ones…plenty of stuff to do!
Your hot tub or sauna missed you while you were gone too! And, whether you realize it or not, your body missed that ritual of immersing in that hot water or entering that toasty sauna to relax your muscles and rid your body of stress.
Traveling exposes you to all kinds of germs from others you’re near in the plane; it wreaks havoc on your neck and back; your body’s been lugging luggage around that puts strain on various muscles you may not utilize regularly.
Both your hot tub and sauna can help detox and give your immune system a boost to overcome any germs you may have encountered along the way and help you avoid a post-vacation illness. And, of course both will help soothe aching muscles and help with travel recovery.
Another way you’ll benefit: falling back into a normal sleep pattern. With time zone changes, erratic sleep on a plane or an unfamiliar hotel room bed, your body will certainly welcome a soak or sauna to get you into REM sleep faster and get you that post-travel good night’s sleep we all desperately need.
You deserved the vacation! And, you deserve help getting back into your everyday routine. Let your hot tub or sauna be your hero.
