Do you suffer from high blood pressure? Regular sauna use could help
January 30, 2018 – Americans are feeling the pressure. Hypertension, or high blood pressure, affects a staggering 68 million in the U.S. That’s about one in every three adults that deal with it. And, what’s worse, about 20% may not even know they have high blood pressure, and less than half have the condition under control!
What to do?? Well, it’s well known that diet and regular exercise are two components that will help get this issue under control, and of course there are medications that can help too. It appears, however, one component that could help significantly is regular sauna bathing.
The University of Eastern Finland recently released findings related to an ongoing study on regular 30-minute sauna sessions and its impact on cardiovascular health. 100 people with an average age of 51 and elevated blood pressure participated. To determine the benefits, the participants were tested before sauna use, right after completing the 30-minute session, and again after recovering about 30 minutes after the session ended.
All experienced a drop in blood pressure along with increased vascular compliance, measured from the carotid and femoral arteries. Immediately after the sauna, subjects pressure dropped from 137/82 to 130/75; that pressure remained so even 30 minutes after sauna use—or lower.
If you or someone you know is struggling with hypertension, a Finnleo Sauna could be an outstanding investment to help manage the condition—or, perhaps, improve it significantly. Wouldn’t it be far better to invest in something like this to do at home every single day instead of trying to combat it with a pill?
If you choose to pursue this, you should obviously check with your physician or cardiologist before proceeding. If you’re given the green light, we have a terrific assortment of Finnleo Traditional Steam & Infrared Saunas to get you on the path to feeling better and—perhaps, a healthier heart. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, this news may make your heart beat a little bit faster!
