Wellness & community: Our 9th annual Founder’s Event benefits Food Lifeline

At Olympic Hot Tub, our mantra is “Better You…Better Life.” For me, this extends beyond the personal wellness our customers find in our products. It’s about fostering the health and vibrancy of the communities in which we do business. This belief is the heart of our annual Founder’s Event, a tradition that honors our history and supports vital local causes.

This October, we are proud to announce our 9th Annual Founder’s Event, dedicated to supporting the incredible work of Food Lifeline. We’re celebrating by continuing a legacy of giving and working to help end hunger in our region.

The legacy of Alice Cunningham & Blair Osborn

Our Founder’s Event was create to honor Alice Cunningham and Blair Osborn. They were brilliant businesspeople who are credited with introducing hot tubbing to the Pacific Northwest nearly 50 years ago. But more than that, they were passionate community advocates who believed in using their success to make a difference.

Alice and Blair cared deeply about several worthwhile causes, sharing a particular concern for ending hunger in our region. They established a culture of giving that has remained a core part of Olympic Hot Tub’s identity. The Founder’s Event was created to honor their memory and continue their commitment to philanthropy. Each year, we select a non-profit organization whose mission aligns with the values Alice and Blair championed.

A history of giving back

Over the past eight years, the Founder’s Event has become a cornerstone of our community outreach. It allows us, along with our customers, to make a meaningful impact on issues affecting our neighbors across the Pacific Northwest.

We have been privileged to support a variety of organizations doing essential work. Past beneficiaries include:

• Plymouth Housing
• Path With Art
• Rainier Valley Food Bank, Marysville Community Food Bank, & Eloise’s Cooking Pot
• Pioneer Human Services

Each event has focused on a different aspect of community well-being, from the arts to hunger to providing shelter and care for those in need. This tradition allows us to shine a light on the challenges our community faces and rally support for organizations doing such impactful work.

This year’s beneficiary: Food Lifeline

This year, we are thrilled to partner with Food Lifeline, a non-profit with a powerful dual mission: feeding people experiencing hunger today while working to end hunger for tomorrow. Food Lifeline doesn’t just distribute food; it invests in community-led solutions, working to reduce barriers and increase access to nutritious food for everyone.

Alice & Blair were passionate about a number of worthwhile causes. They shared a concern about the importance of ending hunger in our region. We are pleased to help Food Lifeline. It’s incredibly important to do what we can to help.

The need is significant. Many families in our communities face food insecurity, a challenge that impacts overall health, well-being, and stability. By supporting Food Lifeline, we can help ensure that our neighbors have access to the fresh, healthy food they need to thrive.

How you can make a difference

Our goal for the 9th Annual Founder’s Event is to raise a minimum of $18,000 to support Food Lifeline’s critical mission. There are two key ways you can get involved.

1. Support by purchasing a wellness product

Throughout October, Olympic Hot Tub will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of every saltwater Hot Spring® Spa, Endless Pools® swim spa, Freeflow® Spa, and Tylo Sauna. If you have been considering an investment in your personal wellness, now is the perfect time! Your purchase will not only enhance your life but will also directly contribute to our fundraising goal and help feed families in our community.

2. Participate in our food drive

In addition to raising funds, we want to provide immediate, tangible support. Every Olympic Hot Tub showroom will serve as a collection point for non-perishable food items. We encourage you to drop by one of our eight locations to donate.

Our showroom locations:
Seattle
Everett
Issaquah
Woodinville
Auburn
Lacey
Tacoma
Sequim

Food Lifeline will distribute all collected items to local food banks near each of our showrooms, ensuring your donation directly benefits people in your area. You can also donate directly to Food Lifeline through their website.

The Founder’s Event is more than a fundraiser; it’s a reflection of who we are. It’s about coming together to support one another and strengthen the fabric of our community. Olympic has always been focused on the health and wellness of our customers…This is not limited to our physical beings but includes the health and vibrancy of our community.

Help us make our 9th Annual Founder’s Event a significant contributor to Food Lifeline’s mission! Together, we can make a real difference in the fight against hunger.
